"Nothing compares with Scripture for making sense of the troubles and struggles of life." –Dr. David Powlison
Counseling is a vision for the entire church. Each of us is called to give and receive biblical wisdom and care. It happens in the extraordinary and the ordinary moments alike, the formal and the informal, of everyday life together.
Our Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) is now online, offering to everyone a ministry-minded, global community that combines academic studies and practical training to equip you to better help those in need—whatever your calling.
Westminster Theological Seminary has partnered with Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) for a unique curriculum encompassing classes in ministry and theology. Engage diverse students who include pastors, missionaries, youth workers, lay leaders, business people, parents, doctors, and more to discuss, learn, and grow. Join faculty online as they discuss student questions. Watch weekly lectures at your own pace. Take one or several classes at a time.

What Students Are Saying
Brittany Aills, MAC '12Church Life Coordinator at Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC

Ben Baker, MAC '16Director of Strategic Initiatives and Communications at Bay Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, OH
“My time in the MAC program was one of the most formative and enriching seasons of my life. Westminster’s rich theological education paired with CCEF’s practical and biblical approach provided me with a robust education. It deepened my love for Christ and the gospel, as well as for those we have the privilege to serve in whatever circumstance we find ourselves in.”
Beth Phifer, MAC '15Resident Director at Houghton College in Houghton, NY
“The MAC program deepened my understanding of Scripture as a story that grows in richness and complexity as God reveals his plan to redeem his people through Jesus. Before studying at Westminster, I read Scripture as if it was mainly about me and how it applied to my life. Now I see the centrality of Christ through the whole unfolding narrative."
